In what could turn out to be the end of the road for Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo, his 8 months stay in the All Progressive Congress (APC) has possibly come to an end as he faces expulsion from the party by the State Executive Council (SEC).
This is coming after the State Executive Council of the party in the state headed by the State Chairman, Alh. Ibrahim Bilal received a petition signed by stakeholders of the party across the 5 Local Government Areas of Adamawa North.
This was revealed to newsmen by a major stakeholder of the party from Mubi South Local Government Area Hon. Hamzut Zubairu.
Commenting on the petition, Hamzut said the stakeholders are worried about the utterances of the lawmaker and as such demanded his expulsion from the party.
“I don’t think his head is correct, how can a sane person just sit down and spew rubbish on national TV? It proves we’ve been represented by a notorious tout all this while” he said.
“His utterance will definitely spell doom for the party in the coming general elections as many are considering voting for PDP’s Amos Yohanna who we see as a calm, respectable and peace loving man” he said.
Hamzut maintained that unlike Abbo, thier candidate for 2023 will be the PDP man, so as to teach Abbo a lesson that he can’t play politics of religion and get away with it.
“We’ve had Senator Mana, Bindow and Binta Masi Garba in the past, none of them tried using religion to disintegrate us. In fact, we never played religion politics in our zone until Abbo came” he mentioned.
He blasted the Senator for not attracting any tangible project nor executing any for the people of the zone, while challenging him to come out and tell the people what he has done for them in his 3 years stewardship.
He concluded that the SEC has promised them to look into the matter and take up the necessary punishment very soon.
